龙腾虎跃四海盛，鸟语花香天下春。新年的钟声即将敲响，虎年的春天悄然来临。值此佳节之际，哥伦比亚大学中国学生学者联谊会又一次为您准备了丰盛的年夜大餐！

2010 年“银联之夜”哥大中国农历新春晚会将于2010年2月7日在哥伦比亚大学Alfred Lerner Hall隆重举行。此次晚会正值中美建交30周年之际，我们将以“天下一家”为主题，体现全球华人四海同春，其乐融融的寓意。届时，中国驻纽约总领馆彭克 玉总领事，中国驻联合国公使刘汉明先生，著名电视制作人、化妆品王国皇后靳羽西女士也将亲临现场并致辞。此次活动还有幸获得了中国银联（China UnionPay）的独家冠名，从演出的酝酿筹备到即将出炉都有中国银联和我们携手走过，这里向你们的大力支持表示衷心的感谢。

本次活 动，我们邀请到了中央电视台新闻30分著名节目主持人梁艳担纲主持。节目形式构思新颖，独具匠心，演员阵容不仅有我校才艺兼具的老师同学，更有活跃在纽约 地区的文艺界人士鼎立参与。演出集欣赏性、娱乐性于一身，定将为各位来宾的新年夜奏响华彩的乐章。另外，值得一提的是，本次晚会我们还邀请到了上海世博会 组委会作为联办单位，届时每一位购票到场的嘉宾都将获得由世博会提供的纪念品一份，你们还将看到世博会吉祥物“海宝”可爱的身影哦！不能不提的是，在晚会 的过程中，我们还为现场所有的嘉宾准备了价值千元的抽奖大礼，谁将成为新年的第一个幸运儿？谁会在晚会后抱着Kindle回家？这还等什么，快来买票吧！

The Chinese New Year Grand Party was initiated by a group of young Columbians seeking to spread Chinese culture across the United States, and has since transformed into the largest student-organized Chinese New Year event across the East Coast. This year, celebrating the 10th anniversary since the festival's incision, we will bring together universities in the New York Metro area and beyond, in a night of festivity that will showcase the best and most vibrant talents in the community.

1. Chinese New Year Grand Party Talent Recruiting

Dear All,

CUCSSA would like to invite you to join us for the 2010 Chinese New

Year Grand Party.

The Chinese New Year Grand Party was initiated by a group of young

Columbians seeking to spread Chinese culture across the United States,

and has since transformed into the largest student-organized Chinese

New Year event across the East Coast. Past guests to the CNY Grand

Party include the Mr. Peng Keyu, Consulate General (Ambassador) of the

People's Republic of China in New York, and Mr. Chris Colombo, former

Dean of Student Affairs at Columbia University. This year, celebrating

the 11th anniversary since the festival’s incision, we will bring

together universities in the New York Metropolitan area and beyond, in

a night of festivity that will showcase the best and most vibrant

talents in the community.

Right now, CUCSSA is seeking talents in the following areas:

1. Performance groups.

We are looking for high quality performance to add to this year’s

performance. Please click on the link below to register for an

audition. Generally, auditions will be held on December 5th and

December 12th at Columbia University, but we do provide other audition

times on a case-to-case basis.

2. Planning committee.

The Department of Culture of CUCSSA is seeking a planning committee to

be in charge of communications with performance groups. The planning

committee is an integral part of the Party’s organization process, and

will report directly to the Director and Stage Manager. All students

currently studying at Columbia are welcome to apply. Please click on

the link if you are interested in being a member of the Planning

Committee.

南开大学学生合唱团纽约专场音乐会

享有国际盛誉的南开大学学生合唱团将于11月29日（星期天）于纽约西奈山医学院举行访美的首场演出。此次演出是合唱团为大纽约地区的南开校友们特地安排的。曲目以中国传统民歌和少数民族歌曲为主，辅以民乐演奏，表现中华文化的丰富多彩、博大精深和悠久历史。此次演出既是一次欣赏世界级合唱艺术的难得机会，也是南开国内外校友们相聚交流的难得机会。演出对所有南开校友及亲友免费，希望大纽约地区的南开校友携亲朋前来参加，对南开大学学生合唱团的表演给予最热烈的欢迎和支持。座位有限，希望前来者须尽早订位，额满为止。

USTC is recruiting faculty at different levels, from associate
professors/research scientists, full professors/ senior scientists, to "Hundred Talents Program" scholars of China Academy of Sciences, Changjiang Scholars of Ministry of Education, and National "Thousand Talents Program" scholars. There are over 70 academic programs of the 12 schools that have vacant positions. Part-time faculty is welcome as well, as adjunct professors, chair professors, honorary professors, and visiting professors.

New faculty will be provided with lab apace, experiment instruments,
research staff, as well as an apartment. Changjiang professors, and "
Hundred Talents Program" professors will be provided with initiating
research funds of about 2 million RMB, while the National "Thousand Program " scholars will be provided with much more.

USTC will also offer necessary assistance in application for research
funds of the country, and help spouse find a job and children get
proper schooling opportunity.
